Supplementary Regulations – HERO Challenge / Poland
The event will be held between 11th and 12th September at Dąbrowa Górnicza (Poland).
Main paddock will be located at: http://bit.ly/MXDGtrack.
FIM Enduro World Championship Licence Holders competing for FIM Hard Enduro World Championship points in the above event are forced to act in accordance with:
– the Sporting Code of the FIM (incl. all appendices)
– Supplementary Regulations as following
– and any instructions by the FIM International Jury during the event.
Non-licenced riders are forced to act in accordance with:
– Supplementary Regulations as following
– and any instructions by the Clerk of the Course during the event.

2.Registration:
All registrations must be made by an “electronic” entry form available on the web site www.herochallenge.pl. Registration will be available since 23.06.2021. The limit of places available during registration is 350.
Registrations will become valid once the:
– championship fee / event fee has been received on the announced account
– the entry form has been signed by the competitor during at Administrative Control on-site
3.Administrative Control:
Administrative control will take place on 10th September from 15:00 to 21:00 and on 11th September from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Race Office located at the MXDG Dąbrowa Górnicza motocross tracks in Dąbrowa Górnicza at Zakawie Street.
All competitors are obligated to:
– provide the FIM Enduro World Championship license number (licensed competitors)
– complete the competitor’s declaration (the form is available at www.herochallenge.pl or at the competition office)
– collect the start number
– make a deposit and collect the transponder
– submit the motorcycle to Technical Control
4.Technical Control:
Technical Control will take place on 10th September from 19:30 to 21:00 and on 11th September from 7:00 to 9:00 next to the Race Office located at the MXDG Dąbrowa Górnicza motocross tracks in Dąbrowa Górnicza at Zakawie Street.
Motorcycles may be left over the night at the secured Parc Ferme on 10th and 11th September.
All competitors are obligated to submit their motorcycle prepared according to the Hard Enduro Technical Rules. Following parts will be marked:
– Frame (right hand steering head)
– Crankcase (right or left side)
– Silencer (on the top)
Marked parts must be used throughout the entire competition and must be in their proper place at the final examination.
Sound Control will be done based on “2mMax Method”.
Sound limits are:
– 114 dB/A ahead of race,
– 115 dB/A after the race.
Each rider or his mechanic can present a maximum of one (1) motorcycle.
The entire event „HERO Challenge” takes place on the MXDG Dąbrowa Górnicza motocross tracks and at the center of Dąbrowa Górnicza using only officially closed roads:
– motorcycles don’t have to be street legal
– Enduro & Motocross tires are permitted
5.Qualifying: Prologue and Super Final of the Prologue – 11th September:
Prologue – main paddock: http://bit.ly/MXDGtrack.
Competitors start individually every 10 seconds according to the numbers received during the Administrative Control.
– each competitor runs a 15-20 minutes-long loop twice – the better time is counted as the result
– 27 competitors with best times will take part in the evening Super Finale of the Prologue in the city center in the SuperEnduro format. Competitors are fighting for a better starting position during the Sunday race. The first rider will be placed at the beginning, the second rider – a meter behind the first, the third rider – a meter behind the second, and so on until the 27th rider.
From the 28th rider, they all stand in rows of 40 motorcycles.
– time obtained during the Prologue determines the starting positions for the Sunday race (competitors from all classes, i.e. PRO, Expert, Expert Masters, Women, Hobby, Hobby Masters will be mixed into groups determined according to the times obtained during the prologue)
Amateurs + licensed riders (PRO) – 11th September:
– 10:00 – 12:00 – first run for all start classes – a detailed start list for each class will be published before the event
– 12:30 – 14:30 – second ride
Super Final of the Prologue will take place in the center of Dąbrowa Górnicza: http://bit.ly/FabrykaPelnaZycia.
27 competitors with the best times from the Prologue will take part in the SuperEnduro race in the center of Dąbrowa Górnicza under artificial lighting.
– 18:00 – 19:30 – trainings
– 19:30 – 21:00 – warm-up, semifinals, finals
Intentional bypassing of an obstacle will result in disqualification.
6.Main Event „Hard Enduro” – 12th September:
Competitors will be divided into 2 groups according to the times obtained during the Prologue:
– group 1 consists of 120 competitors with the best times from the Prologue
– group 2 consists of competitors with times from the Prologue from places 121-400
Track: Racetrack will be approximately 15 km long and will have one Assistance Area (Service Point). Each loop is approximately 30 minutes long. The route will be marked with a tape hung on trees – in places where the tape will be hung on both sides of the route all competitors have to drive in the middle – between the tapes.
Outside help: No outside help is allowed, neither from public, nor team members of the riders can help. That applies only to the group 1.
Assistance Area /Service Point/: Racetrack will have one Assistance Area where ONLY the rider can service, refuel, repair the bike. Rider can change wheels and bike parts, but ONLY the rider can work on the bike.
Checkpoint: Checkpoints will be located in the most difficult sections of the racetrack (and so the people writing down the numbers of competitors). Bypassing the Checkpoint will result in a 60-minute penalty.
Duration:
Main Race duration for group 2 is 2 hours.
Main Race duration for group 1 is 3 hours.
Premature Race Stop: If, by any motive, the race must be stopped, classification will be done as follows:
– less than half of Time – race will be cancelled
– more than half of the Time – results will be determined by the number of checkpoints raced in the fastest time
Classification: Rider with the best time from group 1 wins. If, for example, in group 1 there are only two competitors from the Hobby class, the third place will be taken by the fastest competitor of the Hobby class from group 2.

7.Penalties / Appeals:
According to FIM Hard Enduro World Championship Regulations.
8.Price-Giving Ceremony:
Money Prizes: money prizes will be awarded to the TOP 3 PRO riders.
Material Prizes: for the TOP 3 riders from each class.
Statuettes: for the TOP 3 riders from each class.
Podium Ceremony: Podium Ceremony will take place on Sunday, 12th September, 10 minutes after race finish of group 1.
9.Riders technical meeting:
Riders technical meeting will take place on Saturday, 11th September, at 9:00 at the Race Office (located on the Paddock) after the Administrative Control and Technical Control.
10.Start Categories:
The minimum age of the competitors in all starting categories is 16 (people born before 10th September 2005).
PRO:
Competitors registered for the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship.
License: FIM Enduro World Championship Licence
Age: PRO * – aged 16 or over
EXPERT and EXPERT MASTERS:
Competitors with experience in Hard Enduro riding.
License: riders with and without a license
Age: Expert * – over 16 years old
Expert Masters – over 40 years old
Required: signed medical declaration allowing participation in the competition + valid insurance
HOBBY and HOBBY MASTERS:
Competitors with basic experience in Hard Enduro riding.
License: not required
Age: Hobby * – over 16 years old
Hobby Masters – at least 40 years old
Required: signed medical declaration allowing participation in the competition + valid insurance
WOMEN:
Competitors with basic experience in Hard Enduro riding.
License: not required
Age: Women * – over 16 years old
Required: signed medical declaration allowing participation in the competition + valid insurance
* All competitors between 16 and 18 years of age must show their start permission signed by both parents / legal guardians and a medical examination issued by a family doctor allowing participation in motorcycle sports during the Administrative Control.
